Joi Scientific Names Advisory Board

Since 2021, Joi Scientific has relied on advice and direction from a significant group of advisors, representing an impressive list of executives. Led by Bill McGill, retired President/CEO of MarineMax, members of the board have been working with Joi’s staff on a near daily basis.

Since the internal restructuring of Joi Scientific in 2021 and with Bill McGill’s leadership, Joi has been the recipient of advice, guidance, and inspiration from a wonderful team of advisors who have unselfishly donated their time and expertise.

Roger R. Cloutier II

Roger is an experienced executive in the manufacturing and financial industries. Roger served as president, chief operating officer, and board member of Genmar Holdings, Inc., a manufacturer of power boats. Prior to Genmar, Roger was vice president of IMR Fund, L.P., a $250 million private equity fund, and president/C.O.O. of CVN Companies, Inc., a TV shopping company that merged with QVC Network. Roger has an extensive history evaluating, financing, and developing entrepreneurial companies in a wide variety of industries.

Bay Elliott

Bay has held senior level positions in finance, marketing, operations, HR, and IT in a broad array of industries from aviation through tech. Bay recently retired as EVP and partner of the Farwell Group, consistently ranked as one of the top recruiting firms in South Florida. Bay, who has a keen interest in hydrogen for many years, is active in Joi’s research and business operations.

Jay J. Hood

Jay serves as a technical advisor, primarily in the areas of materials, robotics, and manufacturing. Jay’s background is in manufacturing, primarily in the marine industry where he has built, managed, owned, and consulted to pleasure craft manufacturing facilities and marine companies worldwide. Jay has built 13 factories, managed 3 successful turnarounds, built hundreds of thousands of pleasure craft, and is a leading expert in the development of composite engineering.

Jacek Kobylko

Jacek is the president of Galeon Yachts, a privately-owned manufacturer of luxury yachts and motorboats which employs over 1,500 people at two state-of-the art production facilities in Poland.Under Jacek’s leadership, Galeon is generally acclaimed as being at the forefront of innovative boatbuilding.

Jeremy Lawrence

Jeremy is an industrial engineer and systems designer. Jeremy serves as the president of Peninsula Manufacturing Group which owns and operates Peninsula Scale, Harvest Scale Systems, and GSI Biomed. Jeremy contributes to Joi both as an advisor and as a consulting engineer.

John Livingston

John Livingston is the president of Fluid Motion, the builder of Ranger Tugs and Cutwater Boats. John leads the company’s boat design and product development.

Bill McGill

Bill is known as the founder of MarineMax, the world’s largest retailer of boats, yachts, and superyachts. Bill led MarineMax for over 40 years and at his retirement, MarineMax operated marinas and dealerships worldwide, provided superyacht and yacht concierge services, became a premium boat manufacturer, and provided global yacht charters. Post-retirement, Bill is providing daily interaction and guidance to Joi.

Steve Michael

Steve brings more than 35 years of wide-ranging executive experience in operations, finance, marketing, and strategic planning across a multitude of industries including marine, manufactured housing, recreational vehicles, and consumer finance.

Mike Reischmann

Mike is a proven electrical engineer, entrepreneur, and is the CEO of Kenyon International, Inc. Under Mike’s leadership, Kenyon has led the way with the breakthrough development of ceramic glass cooktops for the high seas, becoming the standard for yachts around the world. The immense popularity of Kenyon’s cooktops led to high-demand for shore-side models. Today, Kenyon International, Inc. is the largest manufacturer in North America of two burner ceramic glass cooktops and high quality stainless steel electric grills.
